You might
be impressed with the performance of Rajkumar Rao in movies like Citylights,
Shahid and Newton. 2017 was a great year for
Rao. But still, his performance in negative shades was left to surprise us.
Soon, we will be bound to acknowledge versatility of his performance in his
upcoming thriller Omerta, directed by Hansal
Mehta.
Omerta won accolades at the Toronto International
Film Festival and Jio MAMI film festival last year.
The movie is based on the life of British-born terrorist Ahmed Omar Saeed
Sheikh, who was freed in exchange for passengers of a hijacked Indian Airlines
plane in 1999 and was later accused of killing journalist Daniel Pearl.
If we believe the Tweets of Rajkumar Rao, Omerta is the
toughest character played by him. Also, the veteran film director Anurag
Kashyap has tweeted that:
The movie will be released on 20th April this year.
